This 6-week therapeutic grief group is designed around one of the most profound findings in grief research: that people heal most deeply when they experience, know, feel, or believe that their loved one is still with them in some way. Rather than asking you to "move on" from your grief, this group invites you into a transformed relationship with your loved one—one grounded in continuing bonds and the possibility of ongoing connection.
Within each session, we gather and begin with grounding, move into experiential practices designed around that week's focus, and close with reflection and integration. You show up as you are, participate authentically, and there's always space to simply witness the group if that's what you need. By the end of each six-week series, you'll have discovered which practices most resonate for you—the ones you'll carry forward on your own.
This approach is grounded in Induced After-Death Communication (IADC) research and Continuing Bonds Theory, both of which show that people heal grief most effectively when they maintain a sense of connection with their loved one. Rather than viewing grief as something to "get over," this research validates what many people know intuitively: that the relationship continues, transformed but real. Your loved one doesn't disappear from your life—they become part of it in a new way.
The Heart Behind This Work:
When someone dies, we're told we need to "move on," "let go," "find closure." But that's not how love works. Love doesn't end. It transforms. And the research is clear: people who feel their loved one is still with them—who sense their presence, receive signs, feel their support—heal differently. Not without pain, but with meaning. With hope. With the knowledge that death changes the form of love, but not its reality.
Grief is not a problem to solve. It's a profound human experience that, when met with wisdom and support, becomes a doorway to deeper love, meaning, and spiritual understanding.
You don't have to do your grief alone. And you don't have to say goodbye to someone you love. In this space, we'll learn together how to say hello in new ways.
