Hands in the Paint, Hearts in the Work: Thank You, National Charity League

There are moments at Walk Intuit when the community feels particularly alive. When the barn smells of fresh paint, chatter carries through the walkways, and you look around to see a group of people who showed up to give. This week was one of those moments.

We are deeply grateful to the National Charity League (NCL) and their remarkable Ticktockers, the daughters and young women whose tradition of community service dates back to 1938, for volunteering at our Costa Mesa location at the OC Fairgrounds Equestrian Center. They came ready to work: cleaning, painting, and pouring genuine care into the physical space where healing happens.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1925, NCL is a national nonprofit built around the bond between mothers and daughters. Together, they volunteer, lead, and give, logging nearly 3 million volunteer hours annually across more than 6,000 charities nationwide. The fact that their headquarters calls Costa Mesa home makes this partnership feel especially meaningful.

At Walk Intuit, we believe that trauma-informed therapy should be accessible to every person seeking it out, regardless of their financial circumstances. That vision only becomes possible when community partners like NCL lend their time, their hands, and their spirit to the work alongside us. The cleaning and painting these young women completed this week directly improve the environment our clients and horses inhabit every single day.

To every NCL member and Ticktocker who showed up this week: thank you. You are a powerful reminder that healing spaces are built by whole communities. We are honored to be one of your chapter's philanthropic partners, and we cannot wait to grow this relationship in the seasons ahead.
