Be part of a community that heals together
At Walk Intuit Ranch, healing begins with connection—to the herd, to the land, and to each other. Our volunteers make this possible by tending to the daily rhythms of care that sustain our animals and nourish the heart of our work.
Volunteer Roles (Costa Mesa):
Morning Feeding – by 7:00 AM
Evening Feeding – after 7:00 PM
Stall Maintenance – AM & PM shifts
Chicken Care

Attend a 2‑Hour Orientation

Choose Your Commitment
Whether you’re available every week or just from time to time, you’re welcome here. If you commit to a weekly task, we ask that you show up consistently and on time—the horses depend on you for their meals and daily care. If a regular schedule doesn’t work for you, you’re welcome to join our flexible on-call roster. We’ll send occasional emails when extra hands are needed, and you can jump in when you’re available. Every bit of support helps.
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome volunteers of all experience levels who want to support our healing herd.
To ensure safety for everyone, especially our animals, here are a few essential guidelines:
Our ranch volunteer roles involve physically demanding tasks and direct interaction with horses, which require volunteers to be physically capable of safely handling manual labor, uneven terrain, ranch environments, and emergency situations. Individuals with physical limitations are welcome to contact us to discuss alternative volunteer opportunities and potential accommodations, such as event, administrative, or marketing support roles.
Volunteers must be 8 years or older. Younger children (under 8) cannot attend during volunteer shifts
Minors (under 18) must attend orientation and volunteer shifts with a parent or guardian
Parents must actively assist their child with all tasks—our animals are large, sensitive beings who require calm, attentive care
Our Community Includes:
Students earning service hours (with parent/guardian assistance)
Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and youth groups
People who love horses but can’t afford to own one
Anyone wanting to give back to a mission of healing
Individuals needing to complete community service hours
No prior horse experience is required—just a steady presence, a love for animals, and a willingness to learn.
